Alexander Merkx and Andreas Harrysson claimed titles at the 2024 Winmau Challenge Tour on its penultimate day, boosting their chances in the race for PDC Tour Cards and a spot in the World Darts Championship. Merkx dominated Event 21 with a series of convincing wins, including a 5-0 victory over Darren Armstrong and a 5-3 final win against Darryl Pilgrim to secure £2,500. He reached the Quarter-Finals in Event 22 before losing to Darius Labanauskas. Meanwhile, Harrysson made an impressive run in Event 22, defeating English opponents and recording a 104.38 average in a 5-0 win over Cam Crabtree. He clinched his first Challenge Tour title of the year by defeating Stefaan Henderyck 5-2 in the final.
The results from these victories impacted the Challenge Tour Order of Merit, with Connor Scutt and Wesley Plaisier holding the top spots heading into the final two events. Scutt advanced to the Last 16 in Event 21 but was knocked out in the first round of Event 22, while Plaisier struggled in Event 21 but reached the Last 16 in Event 22.
