From August 28 to 30, the Baguio Convention & Cultural Center became the meeting place for hundreds of darters from different parts of the country as the Baguio Day Festival 2026 P300,000 National Dart Tournament brought together one of the biggest fields seen in the local darts calendar this year.
The tournament was a National Darts Federation of the Philippines (NDFP) ranking event, with players chasing not only their share of the prize pool, but also ranking points and the chance to put their names alongside some of the country’s strongest competitors.
By the end of three days, several familiar names had added another title to their resumes, while others made their mark on a national stage.
Doria Wins Open Singles Battle
Jhay Doria of Pacman Barabida came out on top of the 166-player Open Singles event by defeating Christian Delos Reyes of Pacman, who settled for second place. James Chan of Ayban and Ronnel Simeon of LTDO shared the Joint 3rd/4th finishes.
Edgar Asiong of LTDO Tublay, Jordan Luis of Kuku Damon, Noel Malicdem of Robson, and Chester Abentao of Bayombong Dart Club made up the quarterfinal group, while the Top 16 also included Wakz Flores, Jepmon Agapas, Marion Omac, Bong Gabiana, Carlo Losmong, Mark Canapi, Lander Wabe and Raymund Gacud.
Suerto Takes Golden Singles Title
The Golden Singles event produced another competitive field, with 54 players taking part. This time, the title went to Jerry Suerto of Mama’s Choice Smart Move. He defeated Ronan Tom of Pins & Brothers in the final.
Highland Darters teammates Cyril Batawig and Thunder Morris shared third/fourth places, while Chan, Albert Sia Jr., Clement Moling and Jose Dagoyen completed the Top 8.
Chan’s appearance in the latter stages of both the Open and Golden Singles events was one of the weekend’s notable individual performances.
Canayon is New Youth Champion
One of the most encouraging numbers from the tournament came from the Youth Singles, where 61 players competed. The title went to Wilmer Canayon of LTDO, with Czairo Laita of Dalicno Darters finishing runner-up.
Earl Patrick Melendres of Itogon and Joener Elitan of LTDO took joint third/fourth.
The remaining Top 8 spots went to Valentin Joven Jr. of Damski, Adrian Asiong of LTDO Galo Selda Uno, George Abad of Sagada, and Zedrick Elitan of LTDO.
Bebang Orbeta Wins Ladies Title
The Ladies Singles field consisted of 24 players, with Bebang Orbeta of Overtime taking the championship by beating Giselle Bulahao of Kumpadres Adan Builders Co. in the final.
Dhang Ortega of Baguio City and Joyze Madallang of CAR shared third/fourth.
The Top 8 was completed by Eloi Tan Felix, Nami Tagtag, Ann Tenorio and Joyze Farongyad.
Classified Draw Doubles
The Classified Draw Doubles, attracting 262 players, saw the winning combination of Doria and Deven Tio-an of Selda Uno/NG bagging the championship. They defeated Jairo Legasto of Pacman Barabida and Nitram Jay Valino of Selda Uno in the final.
Third/fourth places went to Suerto and Lander Wabe of LTDO Selda Uno, and Delos Reyes and Alghin Salipio of JMD Quirino Hill.
The Top 8 also included players from Zamboanga City, PDF, Team Kuku, Mayat Lawa, LTDO and CDL.
Classified Draw Triples
The team of Deven Earl Tio-an, Gabriel Lomasok of Golden Mine Camp 6, and Jordan Luis of Kuku Damon bagged the Classified Draw Triple championship title by defeating the three-man team of Roger Balagot of Capitol/Benguet, Patrick Basile of Pabthaki, and Rey Capuyan of CDL West Pulley.
The joint third/fourth finishers included DJ Tongcopanon, Luke Oras Sr., Ezra Padaco, Jerome Cayat, Oscar Canilang and Harvey Sorote.
The Top 8 also featured representatives from CDL, Tublay, Baguio City Hall, Pins & Bullets, LTDO, The Next Door, Wangal, Amigos ABC and ZZ7.
Kumpadres Adan Builders/Narra Park Team Takes Fixed 4-Man Title
The Fixed Four Person Team event brought together 55 teams.
The winners were Kumpadres Adan Builders / Narra Park, with Bobby Geba, Bong Gabiana, Mark Lumilang and Marion Omac combining to take the championship. They defeated Pacman/Barabida, represented by Louis Lopez, Legasto, Flores, and Ian Gabarda.
Robson Razor Plus and Kapangan shared third/fourth.
Robson Razor Plus fielded Paolo Nebrida, Modesto, Malicdem and Tongcopanon, while Kapangan was represented by Rex Balangcod, Jerome Cayat, Yves Binay-an and Jethro Badilla.
Dalayday and Bantiding Snatch Fixed Doubles Championship
The Fixed Doubles competition featured 127 pairs, and it was Kuku Damon who claimed the title. Herbert Dalayday and William Bantiding defeated Robson’s Noel Malicdem and Paolo Nebrida in the final.
Tongcopanon and Modesto of Robson, along with Mark Canapi and Jaypee Detablan of Pacman Barabida, shared third/fourth.
The Baguio Day 2026 tournament was presented by the City of Baguio and SK Federation Baguio City, organized by the Cordillera Dart League (CDL), and supported by the Liga ng mga Barangay Baguio City, Robson Sportscraft, and Baguio-Benguet & CAR Darters.
