Menzies Set for Landmark Grand Slam Showdown Against Mansell

Cameron Menzies is confident his best performances are still ahead of him as he prepares for his quarter-final clash against Mickey Mansell at the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts. Menzies, who reached his first televised ranking quarter-final with a dramatic 10-9 win over James Wade, had a rollercoaster tournament journey, initially feeling disheartened after a tough defeat to Beau Greaves. However, after a surprising result in the group stage, he advanced and managed to defeat Wade, despite trailing 6-4, by winning five of the last seven legs. Menzies is motivated by his recent ProTour success and believes he has more to give on the big stage.

Menzies faces a tough opponent in Mansell, who also reached his first televised ranking quarter-final with a 10-7 victory over Danny Noppert. Mansell has been in excellent form, winning seven of his last eight matches and remaining focused on his technique and belief. The other quarter-final sees Rob Cross, last year’s runner-up, face Martin Lukeman, who has also been in strong form this year. Both Menzies and Mansell are eager to continue their impressive runs in this prestigious event, with all quarter-final matches to be played in a best-of-31 legs format.
