Martin Lukeman and Mickey Mansell advanced to the semi-finals of the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts after impressive victories on Friday in Wolverhampton. Lukeman pulled off a stunning 16-11 win over Rob Cross, rallying from a 5-1 deficit to secure the biggest win of his career, including a 121 finish on the bullseye and a 144 checkout. Mansell, in a dramatic contest, defeated Cameron Menzies 16-15 in a marathon match that went the full 31 legs. Mansell kept his composure in the deciding leg, sealing his first TV ranking semi-final appearance.
Lukeman expressed confidence in his ability to go all the way, having beaten top players before, while Mansell reflected on the hard work and practice that led to his emotional victory. Both players will now face off in a semi-final showdown on Sunday, with the other semi-final spot to be decided between Luke Littler, Jermaine Wattimena, Gary Anderson, and Gian van Veen.
