Christian Kist made history with a nine-darter during his first-round match at the 2024 Paddy Power World Darts Championship, but ultimately lost 3-1 to Madars Razma. Kist’s perfect leg, which secured the first set, earned him a £60,000 bonus and benefited Prostate Cancer UK and a lucky fan. Despite the historic achievement, Kist expressed disappointment at being knocked out early. Razma, however, progressed to the next round after winning three straight sets.
Nathan Aspinall also had a successful night, overcoming Leonard Gates 3-1 in his second-round match. Aspinall bounced back from a challenging start and expressed relief after a tough victory. Elsewhere, Ricky Evans advanced to the second round with a 3-2 win over Gordon Mathers, while Paolo Nebrida secured his first Ally Pally win by defeating Jim Williams 3-2 in a dramatic sudden-death leg. The tournament continued with more exciting matches on Thursday.
