Ritchie Edhouse and Jermaine Wattimena secured their spots for the 2024 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts after impressive performances, with Edhouse earning his second Grand Slam appearance following his European Championship victory. Wattimena, who finished as runner-up at the European Championship, will compete in his third Grand Slam. The tournament, which will take place from November 9-17 at WV Active Aldersley, features a star-studded line-up, including defending champion Luke Humphries, 2022 winner Michael Smith, and three-time champion Michael van Gerwen, who is making his 17th appearance.
Alongside Edhouse and Wattimena, other notable players like Premier League champion Luke Littler, 2023 runner-up Rob Cross, and former champions Stephen Bunting and Dimitri Van den Bergh will also compete. Qualification spots are determined through a series of televised events, with players like Mensur Suljovic and Rowby-John Rodriguez securing their places by leading Austria to the World Cup of Darts final. The remaining places will be filled through qualifiers, including the top non-qualified player from the Winmau Challenge Tour and the PDC Tour Card Holder Qualifier, finalizing the 32-player field.
