Nitin Kumar secured his spot in the 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship by winning the Indian Qualifier in Kolkata. Kumar triumphed in all 20 of his matches over the two-day event, culminating in a 5-1 victory over Sangam Kumar Roy in the final. He previously defeated Aayush Kothari and Akshay Mehta in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, respectively. This victory marks Kumar’s return to Alexandra Palace, where he has competed three times before.
Kumar, a former Indian World Cup of Darts representative, also gained valuable experience at the 2023 World Series of Darts during the Bahrain Darts Masters. In the qualification rounds, he dominated the quarter-finals with a 4-0 win over Kothari and continued his strong form through the semi-finals with a 5-2 victory over Mehta before sealing the title in the final with another 5-1 win over Roy.
