Winmau World Masters Makes Triumphant Return as PDC Unveils Radical Rebrand

The Winmau World Masters will make its return to the darts calendar in 2025 after undergoing a significant rebrand. Originally held in 1975, the tournament, which has been won by legends such as Eric Bristow and Phil Taylor, will be televised by ITV4 and will now feature a full ranking system. The event, which will take place from January 30 to February 2 at Milton Keynes’ Marshall Arena, will include a fourth day of action, with the top 24 players from the PDC Order of Merit joined by 8 players from Preliminary Rounds. This expanded field will compete in a sets format, similar to the original tournament structure, offering a global stage for players worldwide.

The Preliminary Rounds will kick off on January 29, where up to 180 players, including PDC Tour Card holders and top players from various international tours, will compete for the eight spots in the televised stages. The event is expected to attract massive crowds, with all tickets for the Marshall Arena already sold out. PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter and Winmau Managing Director Vince Bluck highlighted the historic significance of the Winmau World Masters, emphasizing the event’s growth and global appeal. With a ten-year partnership in place between the PDC and Winmau, the reintroduced event promises to bridge generations of darts excellence and captivate new audiences worldwide.
