The 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship begins at Alexandra Palace with 96 players competing for the prestigious title. Fans can get involved by creating their own 10-player PDC Fantasy Darts teams, with points awarded based on player performance. Sky Sports commentators Mark Webster and Dan Dawson have selected their teams, offering insights and recommendations for the tournament. Webster’s picks include Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, and Gary Anderson, with dark horse choices like Gian van Veen and Jermaine Wattimena. He also highlights players like Connor Scutt, Kevin Doets, and Krzysztof Ratajski as potential threats.
Dawson, on the other hand, focuses on Michael Smith, despite his recent struggles, citing his strong World Championship history. He also selects top players like Luke Humphries and Gary Anderson, alongside dark horses such as Wessel Nijman and Martin Schindler. Dawson includes outsider picks like Jeffrey de Graaf, Connor Scutt, and Paolo Nebrida, and sees Wesley Plaisier as a debutant with great potential. Ryan Meikle is also included in his team, with hopes he can cause an upset in the early rounds.
