Michael van Gerwen is confident heading into the 2024 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts, insisting that “winning is the best medicine” as he looks to extend his strong form. The three-time Grand Slam champion aims to add a fourth title to his resume after a successful run of recent victories, including two Players Championship titles and a win at the Hungarian Darts Trophy. Despite some inconsistency earlier in the year, Van Gerwen feels his confidence is building as he prepares for the tournament, which runs from November 9-17.
Van Gerwen will begin his Grand Slam campaign in Group G, facing debutant Noa-Lynn van Leuven, Gary Anderson, and Ryan Joyce. Acknowledging the tough competition, Van Gerwen stressed the importance of maintaining sharpness and minimizing mistakes in the short-format matches. The Dutchman aims to build on his momentum and remain focused on securing another major victory to fuel his confidence for the rest of the year.
