In 2024, Luke Littler’s debut year has made a huge impact on darts, with his explosive performances earning him titles like the Premier League and Grand Slam. He has set impressive records, including the most 180s and the highest number of maxima in a two-year span, while also maintaining strong numbers in checkouts. Despite his extraordinary stats, Littler faces tough competition from veterans like Gary Anderson, Ross Smith, and Damon Heta, who have consistently outperformed him in specific areas, such as hitting 180s per leg and completing ton-plus checkouts.
While Littler excels at treble-hitting and scoring big, his performance on simpler tasks, like checking out with doubles, falls short compared to others like Ryan Joyce and Luke Humphries. Despite this, Littler remains one of the most consistent players, ranking highly in various metrics. However, Humphries and Heta stand out in areas like checkout efficiency and finishing under pressure, making them strong contenders. With a blend of talent and reliability, Littler is seen as the strongest all-around player, but the upcoming World Championship will test if he can overcome the veterans who specialize in particular areas of the game.
