The 2026 PDC Asian Tour got underway in Dubai with four action-packed events that showcased both proven experience and the next wave of Asian darts talent.
Across Tours 1 to 4, Japan’s Haruki Muramatsu emerged as the early standout, while champions from Hong Kong and Japan added variety to an already competitive field.
Muramatsu Dominates Opening Events
The opening two tournaments belonged to Muramatsu, who lifted consecutive titles to establish himself as the man to beat early in the season.
Asian Tour 1 saw Muramatsu defeat fellow Japanese player Motomu Sakai in the final, with Man Lok Leung and Altantülkhüür Myagmarsüren reaching the semi-final stage.
In Asian Tour 2, Muramatsu again claimed the trophy, this time overcoming Mongolia’s Myagmarsüren in the final. Joey Marinduque and Tan Phuay Wei completed the semi-final lineup.
Muramatsu’s success comes as little surprise to long-time followers of Asian darts. A seasoned competitor on the PDC circuit for well over a decade, he has represented Japan at the highest levels of the sport and is known for his calm finishing and methodical approach under pressure. Leung Claims Tour 3 Glory
Momentum shifted in Asian Tour 3, where Leung captured his first title of the 2026 campaign. Leung defeated Alain AbiAbi in the final, while Eduardo Largo and Sakai reached the semi-finals.
Leung, one of Hong Kong’s most recognizable darts players, has steadily built a reputation as a consistent threat on the Asian Tour. Still in his twenties, he has already amassed significant experience through international competition and team events, combining sharp scoring power with a fast, confident rhythm at the oche.
Arihara Breaks Through in Tour 4
The final Dubai event delivered another new champion, as Ryuta Arihara emerged victorious in Asian Tour 4. Arihara overcame Christian Perez in the final, with Filipino veterans Lourence Ilagan and Sakai falling at the semi-final stage.
Arihara’s title marks a breakthrough moment and adds depth to Japan’s already strong presence on the tour. Perez’s run to the final continues the Philippines’ long tradition of producing competitive darts players, while Ilagan’s appearance underlines his enduring status as one of Southeast Asia’s most experienced campaigners.
Consistent Performers and Rising Names
Several players made repeated deep runs across the four events. Sakai reached multiple semi-finals and a final, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most reliable performers on the circuit, while Myagmarsüren impressed with a final and a semi-final appearance, signaling the growing strength of Mongolian darts on the regional stage.
Players from Southeast Asia and East Asia continued to feature prominently, highlighting the expanding competitiveness of the Asian Tour.
