Humphries Honored to Claim Revamped Winmau World Masters Title

Luke Humphries described winning the revamped Winmau World Masters as “a privilege” after defeating Jonny Clayton in a dramatic deciding-leg final. Despite leading 5-2, Humphries had to overcome a fierce comeback from Clayton before sealing the £100,000 top prize and his seventh televised ranking title.

The victory cements Humphries’ place in history as the first winner of the new World Masters format and moves him level with Peter Wright on the all-time ranking title list. He now holds the highest total ranking earnings in the two-year Order of Merit system, with £1,904,250. Humphries looks ahead to the BetMGM Premier League, aiming to carry his momentum into the new season.
