Gotthardt Clinches Ally Pally Debut with PDC Europe Super League Victory

Kai Gotthardt secured his spot at the 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship with a thrilling 8-7 win over Paul Krohne in the Hylo PDC Europe Super League final. Gotthardt, 29, produced a series of dramatic comebacks throughout the day, including a late surge in his semi-final against Dominik Gruellich, and a strong start followed by a tense finish in the final. He sealed the victory with an 86 checkout, ensuring his debut at the World Championship alongside compatriots Martin Schindler, Gabriel Clemens, and Ricardo Pietreczko.

Despite his loss, Krohne still has a chance to qualify for the World Championship through the Tour Card Holder Qualifier on November 25. Gotthardt’s victory capped a day of exciting matches, including his quarter-final and semi-final wins, with Krohne impressing in his own right by demolishing 2023 winner Dragutin Horvat 7-0 in the semis.
