Cross and Wade Secure Spots in Grand Slam Knockout Stages After Group Stage Success

On Day Three of the 2024 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts, former finalists Rob Cross and James Wade secured their spots in the knockout stages. Cross progressed after a dominant 5-1 win over Peter Wright, who failed to qualify. Wade also advanced with a 5-1 victory over Rowby-John Rodriguez, aided by a stunning 121 finish. Meanwhile, Danny Noppert and Cameron Menzies emerged from Group B, with Menzies qualifying for his first TV ranking event knockout stage despite a tough loss to Beau Greaves.

Other notable performances included Martin Lukeman’s third win in Group C and Ritchie Edhouse’s top finish in Group D, where he defeated Dave Chisnall. The day also saw Luke Humphries end his campaign with a 5-1 victory over Mickey Mansell. As the group stage nears completion, the final round-robin matches in Groups E-H will take place on Tuesday, with several players vying for the last spots in the last 16.
