On Day Three of the 2024 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts, the final matches in Groups A-D will take place, determining who advances to the knockout stage. Mickey Mansell and Ritchie Edhouse have already qualified, while other players are fighting for their spots. Group A features a crucial match between James Wade and Rowby-John Rodriguez, where the winner will advance. Group B sees Danny Noppert needing four legs to qualify, and Martin Schindler must win with a specific scoreline to progress. In Group C, Rob Cross and Peter Wright face off in a must-win match, while Group D’s Ross Smith and Connor Scutt will battle for the last qualification spot.
The tournament follows a round-robin format, with the top two players from each group advancing to the knockout phase. If players are tied, leg difference and other tiebreaker criteria such as legs won, tournament average, and even a Nine-Dart Shoot-Out are used to determine the rankings. The knockout rounds will start with players from different groups facing off, and the tournament continues in a bracket format.
