Stephen Bunting is brimming with confidence as he prepares to face Gary Anderson in a high-stakes second-round match at the Mr. Vegas Grand Slam of Darts. Bunting, who emerged from the fiercely competitive Group H featuring all players averaging over 100, believes he is playing the best darts of his career. He advanced with a decisive victory over Josh Rock, averaging 106, and now aims to reverse his recent European Championship loss to Anderson. The two-time World Champion Anderson enters the match as a formidable opponent, having dominated Group G with wins over Ryan Joyce, Michael van Gerwen, and Noa-Lynn van Leuven.
The last 16 action on Thursday also features standout ties, including teenage prodigy Luke Littler against World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker. Gian van Veen, coming off a record-breaking group stage performance, faces Ryan Joyce, while Jermaine Wattimena meets UK Open champion Dimitri Van den Bergh. As Bunting gears up to renew his rivalry with Anderson, he remains optimistic about his chances, emphasizing his strong form and belief in his ability to challenge the tournament’s best.
