The Mayor Bruce Matabalao 500K National Dart Tournament, held from December 4-7 at City Mall of Cotabato, lit up Cotabato City during the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival, delivering thrilling darts action for fans and players alike. Sanctioned as a National Ranking Event by the National Darts Federation of the Philippines and organized by UDK, the tournament featured top talent from across the country competing on the Robson Razor Bladewire Dartboard.
In the highly competitive Cotabato Exclusive Open Doubles, it was the formidable pairing of Lao Asi and Johnlloyd Quitiol who claimed the championship, showcasing exceptional teamwork and precision throughout the event. Their performance proved unstoppable, earning them the top spot from a field of 104 participants.

Runners-up Ariel Castillo and Bert Serenobis put up a strong fight, pushing matches to the limit but ultimately falling short against the champions’ consistent scoring. Sharing third and fourth place were Eugene Dapatillo & Bryan Tanghinan and Al Balawag & Jigs Baroy, all demonstrating high-level doubles strategy and clutch finishing.
The top eight was rounded out by a mix of rising and established stars, including Jhun Amad, Lloyd Valdez, Willy Mendoza, Micheal Albores, Rodel Pedregosa, Ali Samod, Jun Damada, and Arnold Caballero, each contributing to a weekend of exciting matchups and memorable moments.
The tournament not only highlighted competitive excellence but also celebrated the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival, bringing together players and fans in a vibrant showcase of skill, sportsmanship, and community spirit.
