2024 Machineseeker European Championship: Star-Studded Field and Draw Unveiled!

Peter Wright will kick off his title defense at the Machineseeker European Championship against Jermaine Wattimena, with the event set to take place in Dortmund from October 24-27. The draw for the £600,000 tournament features a competitive 32-player field, which was finalized after the conclusion of the last European Tour event in Prague, where Luke Humphries claimed his second Czech Darts Open title. Among the other notable first-round matches, world number one Humphries will face Nathan Aspinall, while top seed Martin Schindler competes against Dirk van Duijvenbode.

The tournament includes several exciting matchups, with Dave Chisnall, a two-time European Tour winner, going up against world number two Michael Smith, and four-time champion Michael van Gerwen taking on German number two Gabriel Clemens. Additional highlights include a clash between two-time European Champion Rob Cross and 2018 winner James Wade, as well as Masters champion Stephen Bunting facing Gary Anderson. The event will be broadcast live on ITV in the UK and various international platforms, with the first round split across two sessions on Thursday and Friday evenings, followed by the quarter-finals and final on Sunday.
