Alexis Toylo and Ryusei Azemoto secured their debuts at the 2024 Paddy Power World Darts Championship, joining seasoned competitors Lourence Ilagan and Paolo Nebrida, who qualified through the PDC Asian Tour. Toylo had already guaranteed his place ahead of the final weekend in Qingdao, China, after winning five of the first 11 events of the season. Ilagan, a nine-time World Championship participant, made a strong showing by reaching three finals and winning Event 23, while Nebrida clinched his spot with four titles across the season, ensuring his third consecutive World Championship appearance.
Azemoto earned his qualification by winning Event 19 and adding to his tally of four titles in 2024, securing the final spot. The weekend’s events saw fierce competition, with notable performances from players like Man Lok Leung, who narrowly missed out on qualification, and Haruki Muramatsu, who claimed victory in Event 24. The PDC Asian Championship, set for October 17-20 in Manila, will offer additional qualification opportunities for the World Darts Championship.
