The probability of a new world record average in the 2025 BetMGM Premier League is analyzed by PDC Stats Analyst Christopher Kempf. Michael van Gerwen’s 123.40 average from 2016 remains unbroken, with few players coming close in recent years. Under the current best-of-11 format, no player has exceeded a 116 average, making a new record highly unlikely.
However, Luke Littler stands the best chance, given his recent performances. Based on his scoring consistency, Littler has a 1 in 2,888 chance of breaking the record in a 6-0 match and a 1 in 2,606 chance in a longer match. Other players, including Nathan Aspinall, have significantly lower probabilities. With 105 matches remaining, Littler’s improving form could make breaking the record a real possibility.
