Quijano and Alquizalas Hit Bullseye at Mayor Bruce Matabalao 500K Dart Clash

The Mayor Bruce Matabalao 500K National Dart Tournament, held December 4-7 at City Mall of Cotabato in celebration of the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival, brought together 150 of the nation’s sharpest dart players for a weekend of precision, strategy, and unforgettable finishes. Sanctioned by the National Darts Federation of the Philippines and organized by UDK, competitors faced off on the official Robson Razor Bladewire Dartboard, showcasing the best of Philippine darting talent.

In the Classified Draw Doubles, the unstoppable duo of Aris Quijano (Robson) and Jayjay Alquizalas (UDC) claimed the championship, thrilling fans with their perfect blend of accuracy and composure under pressure. The pair overcame stiff competition to secure their spot at the top, proving themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the national circuit.

Runners-up Alex Tagarao (Kian’s Grill CDO) and Janjan Hinojales (Robson) pushed the champions to the limit, but Quijano and Alquizalas’ clutch finishes sealed the victory. Sharing third and fourth were Johnray Sajol & Melvin Dillo and Johnfrieths Bayron & Oliver Ladores, while Ruel Banay Banay, Gracy Pausal, Paolo Nebrida, Lucky Uy, Von Ervile Caballero, Lester Venancio, La Carreon, and Micheal Albores rounded out the top eight with impressive performances.

The tournament not only tested skill and precision but also highlighted camaraderie and sportsmanship, making it a standout event in Cotabato City’s festival celebrations. With Quijano and Alquizalas emerging as champions, the event reinforced the growing prominence of darts in the Philippines, leaving fans eager for the next showdown.
