The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has launched “Darts on Your Doorstep,” a new initiative in partnership with Smart Energy GB. This collaboration is part of the PDC in the Community program, aiming to enhance grassroots darts clubs by improving their playing environments. World Champion Luke Humphries and Smart Energy GB’s Deputy Director, Phillippa Brown, unveiled the project at the Drayton Manor Cricket & Social Club, which received a revamped darts area. Over 250 clubs will benefit in the first year, receiving support and equipment, along with information on how smart meters can help reduce energy bills and improve energy management.

The initiative also includes the Smart Energy GB Darts Challenge, where top-performing clubs have the chance to win a unique dart-fitting experience. This partnership will spread awareness of smart meters through various channels, including TV events and social media, and will offer exclusive competitions. PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter expressed excitement about the launch, noting that the program is designed to help darts clubs thrive while educating the public on the benefits of smart meters. The launch event also featured Humphries previewing his title defense at the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts.
