Luke Littler defeated Ryan Joyce in a thrilling deciding-set match to advance to the quarter-finals of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship. Littler averaged 103 and hit 14 maximums in a dramatic encounter, where all sets went against the throw. Despite missing a match dart for a 4-2 win, Littler secured his victory in the final set with an impressive 110 average. Michael van Gerwen also progressed, defeating Jeffrey de Graaf 4-2 with a dominant finish after a mid-match fightback from De Graaf.
Stephen Bunting, Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey, and Callan Rydz also moved to the quarter-finals.
