Lisa Ashton and Fallon Sherrock dominated the opening day of the 2025 PDC Women’s Series in Leicester, each claiming a title to extend their record hauls. Ashton triumphed in Event One with a commanding 5-2 win over Gemma Hayter, after defeating Aileen de Graaf in the semi-finals. Hayter reached the final after impressive victories over Lorraine Winstanley, who had earlier eliminated Sherrock and Beau Greaves. Ashton’s win saw her momentarily draw level with Sherrock at 18 Women’s Series titles before Sherrock responded with Event Two success.

Sherrock secured the Event Two title with a hard-fought 5-3 victory over Greaves, ending a seven-match losing streak against her rival. She defeated Lisa Ashton in a dramatic semi-final, taking out a 12-darter in the deciding leg, after earlier wins over Paige Pauling and Noa-Lynn van Leuven. Greaves dominated her side of the draw, dropping just two legs en route to the final but fell short against Sherrock. Ashton leads the Women’s Series Order of Merit, with Sherrock, Greaves, and Hayter close behind as the competition continues with Events 3-4 on Sunday.
