PDC Stats Analyst Christopher Kempf has evaluated the performance of the top ten PDC players based on their last 200 legs played, highlighting Gary Anderson as the standout player ahead of the BoyleSports World Grand Prix. Anderson leads in multiple categories, including averages and checkout efficiency, following an impressive week where he achieved a 114 average against World Champion Luke Humphries. Despite his recent success, Anderson has struggled with inconsistency, evidenced by his inability to convert high averages into tournament wins. Meanwhile, Wessel Nijman, a rising star and the highest-ranked player born in the 2000s, has gained recognition for his strong performances this season, including winning the Players Championship.
Stephen Bunting has consistently maintained a position in the top ten despite never reaching the #1 spot in the Form Guide. Bunting’s high averages this season have not translated into victories, as he has been unable to convert opportunities during critical moments in matches. A new entrant in the Form Guide is Callum Goffin, who showcased significant improvement at the recent Pro Tour event in Wigan, achieving his highest average of the year against Humphries. Goffin’s enhanced performance suggests he is on the brink of becoming a more competitive player, which could open doors for him beyond the standard prize money of floor tournaments.
