Ben Robb and Kayden Milne enjoyed a flying start to the 2026 DartPlayers New Zealand ProTour season, claiming the opening titles in Wellington.
Robb, runner-up on last year’s DPNZ Rankings, lifted the Event Two crown with a commanding 7-2 victory over reigning champion Jonny Tata in the final. The 37-year-old won all four of his group matches, surviving deciding-leg encounters against Lance Odgers and Darren Herewini.
He then powered through the knockout stages, conceding just two legs en route to the final. Robb defeated Herewini 6-4 in the semi-finals before producing another dominant display to overcome Tata and secure his 21st DPNZ title.

Event One honours went to Milne, who sealed a 7-2 triumph over former Tour Card Holder Haupai Puha in the final. The 25-year-old impressed in the group stage, winning three of four matches and averaging over a ton in a whitewash of Ian Makuch.
Milne, chasing his first ProTour title since February 2024, gathered momentum in the knockouts with two whitewash victories. He then survived match darts to edge past Tony Lee and comfortably dispatched Terry Jowett 5-1.
The Invercargill thrower continued his charge with a 6-4 semi-final win over Tata before defeating Puha to claim the third ProTour title of his career.
Despite missing out on silverware, Tata tops the early-season Rankings after reaching the semi-finals in Event One and the final in Event Two. The 2025 ANZ Premier League star dropped just three legs in his opening seven matches of the weekend and won 17 games overall.
The DPNZ ProTour resumes in Christchurch on March 21-22, with Events Three and Four, as players continue their pursuit of a place at the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
