Luke Humphries and Luke Littler advanced to the quarter-finals of the Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals, maintaining their path toward a potential showdown. Humphries, the reigning champion, defeated Raymond van Barneveld and Damon Heta, continuing his title defense with solid performances. Littler, fresh off his Grand Slam victory, dominated Ritchie Edhouse and Danny Noppert, keeping his impressive form intact with high averages and a strong winning streak. Both players are on a collision course for a final if they continue their strong performances.
The day also saw standout performances from other players, including Mike De Decker, who advanced after decisive victories, and Scott Williams, who overcame tough opponents to reach the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Ryan Joyce continued his impressive run, and Dirk van Duijvenbode kept up his revival, winning both his matches. Several top seeds, including Michael Smith and Nathan Aspinall, were eliminated in earlier rounds. The quarter-finals are set, and the event will conclude with the semi-finals and final on Sunday.
