Luke Littler continues to make waves in professional darts, setting a new European Tour record with a tournament average of 110.89 at the Czech Darts Open. His remarkable performance included 23 180s and nine legs won in 12 darts or fewer, surpassing Michael van Gerwen’s previous record of 107.58. Despite a loss to Luke Humphries in the final, Littler’s victories over top players like Nathan Aspinall and van Gerwen were dominant, showcasing his exceptional skill. Littler has already won 37 of his 59 professional matches against seven different PDC World Champions, maintaining an undefeated record against most of them.
Littler’s head-to-head record against top players continues to impress, with his 107 average in the Czech Open still notable despite his loss. His rivalry with Humphries has become one of the most compelling in darts, with both players achieving impressive results. Littler’s ability to win legs in 15 darts or fewer puts him in the elite company of players like Humphries and van Gerwen. His victories over Van Gerwen and Damon Heta further solidify his position as one of the most dangerous players in the sport, with Littler’s 105 average against Heta being the highest in any head-to-head matchup in 2024.
