Drayton Extends Streak with Second Straight Development Tour Title

Jack Drayton continued his sensational start to the season by securing back-to-back Winmau Development Tour titles in Leicester.

Fresh from claiming his maiden crown in Event Four, the 19-year-old extended his winning streak to 18 matches at the Mattioli Arena, sealing a 5-3 victory over Tour Card Holder Cam Crabtree to pocket another £3,000 top prize.

Drayton impressed throughout the weekend, defeating Nando Engelen and Daniel Stephenson before overturning a 3-2 deficit to edge out Ben Townley. He then produced commanding 4-1 wins over Mason Teese and Thomas Banks, followed by a whitewash against Mylo Michiels in the last 16.

A 5-3 quarter-final victory over Ireland’s Dylan Slevin preceded a dramatic last-leg semi-final success against Archie Self.

In the final, Drayton delivered the decisive moment with a stunning 155 checkout in the penultimate leg to deny Crabtree and complete another title triumph.

Crabtree had averaged 101 and 98 earlier in the day and defeated rising star Tyler Thorpe 5-2 in the semi-finals. Thorpe had earlier produced a 107.36 average against Daniel Terry, a figure matched by Germany’s Florian Preis in the last 64.

Drayton’s brace of titles lifts him to second in the Development Tour rankings, behind Jurjen van der Velde, who claimed Events One and Three. Sebastian Bialecki now sits third, with Charlie Manby and Crabtree completing the top five.

The top two players in the 2026 rankings will earn PDC Tour Cards for 2027-28, while the top three will qualify for the 2026/27 World Championship.
