Jonny Clayton produced three clinical performances to claim Night Three of the BetMGM Premier League in Glasgow and move top of the table.
The 2021 champion defeated Gerwyn Price, Luke Littler and Gian van Veen to secure the £10,000 nightly prize at the OVO Hydro.
Clayton ended a ten-match losing streak against Price in the quarter-finals, landing six of his ten darts at double to seal his first victory over his World Cup partner since March 2023. He then dismantled world number one Littler 6-1, averaging 101 to hand the reigning champion his joint-heaviest Premier League defeat.

That set up a final against Van Veen, who had beaten him in the Night One semi-finals. This time, Clayton dominated, averaging 104.35 in a commanding 6-2 triumph, sealing victory with a brilliant 156 finish.
“When your finishing goes well the confidence is up, and tonight was my night,” reflected Clayton.
“I’m enjoying myself, and when you enjoy what you’re doing, things seem to happen for you.
“I’ve got a bit of experience in the Premier League. This is my favourite tournament, and I know what you’ve got to do to get to Finals Night.
“Hopefully this is going to be a push in the right direction. I’m doing alright so far!”
Clayton’s success lifts him above seven-time champion Michael van Gerwen, who withdrew due to a medical issue.
Van Veen sits third after wins over Stephen Bunting and Luke Humphries, while Humphries averaged nearly 106 in defeating Josh Rock earlier in the night.
