Luke Humphries will launch his defence of the BetMGM Premier League title against Gerwyn Price on opening night in Newcastle, while Luke Littler and Gian van Veen renew their rivalry in a repeat of January’s World Championship final.
The 2026 BetMGM Premier League will see eight of the sport’s elite compete across 17 nights in the UK and Europe. Each league night follows a knockout format of quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs, with ranking points awarded to build the league table. The top four will advance to Finals Night at The O2 in London on Thursday May 28.
The season begins on Thursday February 5 at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, featuring reigning two-time World Champion Littler against Dutch number one Van Veen. Defending champion Humphries meets 2023 runner-up Price, while seven-time winner Michael van Gerwen faces former Masters champion Stephen Bunting. Elsewhere, 2021 champion Jonny Clayton returns against debutant Josh Rock.

Night Two marks the Premier League’s first visit to Belgium on February 12, as Littler and Humphries clash again at Antwerp’s AFAS Dome in a rematch of the 2025 Premier League final. Glasgow hosts Night Three on February 19, with Littler taking on Van Gerwen, and Welsh rivals Clayton and Price also colliding.
Further highlights include Rock headlining in Belfast on February 26, Cardiff hosting Price and Clayton on Night Five, and Dutch stars Van Gerwen and Van Veen meeting in Dublin on Night Seven. Rotterdam features later in the season, before the league phase concludes in Liverpool, Aberdeen, Leeds, Birmingham and Sheffield.
Brand Director at BetMGM, Dan Towse, said: “What better way to kick off the new BetMGM Premier League Darts campaign than with the two World Championship finalists, Luke Littler and Gian van Veen, going head-to-head in Newcastle?
“Littler is the 4/5 pre-tournament favourite and is fancied to get past his Dutch opponent on Night One at 4/9, while he’s 13/8 to win the opening night overall.
“But given the quality we’ve got on show this year, with ten Premier League titles and seven PDC World Championship titles between the eight players, it’s hard to rule out any of them if they’re on song.”
