Ryan Searle and Gary Anderson booked their places in the semi-finals of the 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship with impressive quarter-final victories on New Year’s Day at Alexandra Palace.
Searle continued his superb run in the tournament by defeating fifth seed Jonny Clayton 5–2. The Englishman produced another composed and clinical performance to move within one match of his first World Championship final.
Two-time world champion Gary Anderson joined him in the last four after overcoming tournament surprise Justin Hood by the same 5–2 scoreline. Anderson’s experience shone through as he controlled key moments to keep his title hopes alive.
Their victories set up one of the matches to expect in the semi-finals, as Searle and Anderson will face each other with a place in the World Championship final at stake.
Elsewhere in the quarter-finals, reigning champion Luke Littler is set to take on Poland’s number one Krzysztof Ratajski, while 2023/24 world champion Luke Humphries faces European Champion Gian van Veen in another highly anticipated last-eight showdown at Alexandra Palace.
