Mike De Decker and Wessel Nijman have officially qualified for the 2024 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts, joining Dave Chisnall and Martin Schindler, who have also secured their spots in the prestigious tournament. Set to take place from November 9-17 at WV Active Aldersley, this 32-player event will feature some of the biggest names in darts competing for the iconic Eric Bristow Trophy. De Decker will be making his second Grand Slam appearance following his recent triumph at the World Grand Prix, where he clinched his first televised title with a thrilling 6-4 victory over world number one Luke Humphries.
Nijman, recognized as one of darts’ rising stars, dominated the Winmau Development Tour by winning seven titles throughout the year, securing his position at the Grand Slam. The current lineup includes reigning Grand Slam champion Humphries, 2022 winner Michael Smith, and three-time champion Michael van Gerwen, among others. Notable participants like 2023 runner-up Rob Cross and Premier League champion Luke Littler will also be present, along with Women’s World Matchplay champion Beau Greaves and World Youth Championship runner-up Gian van Veen. The final roster will be determined by upcoming events, including the European Championship and the PDC Tour Card Holder Qualifier, ensuring a star-studded field for the tournament.
