Luke Humphries has strengthened his position atop the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder following his eighth European Tour title at the Gambrinus Czech Darts Open in Prague. Humphries claimed an 8-5 victory over Josh Rock, marking his third Czech Darts Open triumph in four years and his first ranking title since February.

The world number one impressed throughout the tournament, overcoming Dirk van Duijvenbode, Martin Schindler, Wessel Nijman, and James Wade en route to the title. “This victory feels great, and it’s nice to get back on the winner’s podium,” Humphries reflected after his triumph. Rock’s run to a second consecutive European Tour final brings him closer to a top-ten spot, trailing Damon Heta by less than £4,000.
Other notable ranking movements include Jermaine Wattimena, who reached his first European Tour quarter-final of the year, moving above Daryl Gurney, while Krzysztof Ratajski dropped four places to world number 37 after a second-round exit to Rob Cross.
The PDC Werner Rankings Ladder tracks prize money over a two-year period in PDC ranking events. The ladder will next update during Players Championships 26-27 at Halle 39 in Hildesheim on September 9-10, with live coverage available on PDCTV.
