Veteran Stars and Rising Names Book Final Stage Spots at PDC Q Schools

Several established names and emerging talents moved a step closer to securing PDC Tour Cards as Day Two of the 2026 PDC Qualifying Schools unfolded in Milton Keynes and Kalkar. Steve Beaton, Jeffrey de Zwaan, Cristo Reyes and Boris Krcmar were among those to progress through First Stage, keeping their hopes alive of joining the professional circuit for 2026–27.

Beaton headlined the UK Qualifying School qualifiers after delivering a flawless performance at Arena MK. The former Lakeside champion, who resigned his Tour Card in January 2025, registered five straight wins and conceded just seven legs throughout the day. The 61-year-old now eyes a return to the PDC stage, joined in the Final Stage by former Tour Card holders Harry Ward and Ciaran Teehan. Scotland’s David Sharp also advanced in style, posting a 104.46 average in his last-32 encounter.

At the European Qualifying School, De Zwaan underlined his pedigree with a series of commanding displays. The former World Matchplay semi-finalist sealed his place in the Final Stage with a 101 average in a decisive clash against Mylo Michiels. Spanish ace Cristo Reyes and Croatian World Cup standout Boris Krcmar, both recent World Championship competitors, also booked their progression, alongside experienced Canadian David Cameron.

The day also produced a moment of history, as Jamie Owens fired the first nine-darter on the PDC circuit in 2026 during his second-round match against Travis Baur, despite exiting the event in the following round.

First Stage continues until January 7, with the last 16 players each day qualifying automatically for Final Stage, while remaining places are decided via the Ranking List based on match wins and countback criteria.
